New blue curtains in my bedroom by ARNE AKSEL
I have been thinking about changing my curtains for a while. The beige color was (believe it ir not) getting to safe for me and I wanted to step it up on quality. Last year I visited Patriksson Communication and I was knock over by their newly decorated meeting room. With its very high ceilings the room was mainly decorated with long blue curtains from ARNE AKSEL, one in navy blue and one light blue as a contrast.
The light blue curtain stuck with me so I decided to get some professional help with my new-curtain-project. Arne came by to look at my windows and teach me about colors. I was not allowed to choose any of my safe colors for the bedroom which was kind of nice, because I would probably had gone with another kind of beige.
I chose Kvadrat fabric Air 4 – color 723. A beautiful light blue color in a very sheer fabric, light and airy. We decided on a second thicker curtain Heavens Gate – color 050 to get more flexibility and and the possibility to keep all light out.

I am thrilled with the result and so happy that I went for a color that I noticed every time I step into the room. Now I just need to paint the one colored wall that I have in my bedroom. I am considering matching it with a blue color or going for a soft yellow. I also installed new curtains in my living room, but I have to save that for another post later this week.
