Fritz Hansen introduces Christianshavn, a timeless collection of textiles. Fritz Hansen wanted to create their own colour universe and ensure that each textile is carefully created to enhance and compliment every piece of furniture in their collection giving them everlasting appeal.

Christianshavn is a wool textile with a soft touch. The upholstery collection of Christianshavn is produced in a combination of 85% wool & 15%nylon with a Martindale of 100.000 yet with a non-wool handle and a soft brushed finish. The collection consists of 26 different colours of died yarn with a combination of melange and unicoloured.

Some colours are unicolour – perfect for the simple, elegant expression that enhances the shape of a design – and some are melange, where triple threading offers both a playful appearance and a fresh look, even after years of usage.

With Christianshavn, the design process does not end until the last stitch has been made. In other words, the Fritz Hansen design DNA is now reflected in both the shape of the shell and the feel of the textile. Creating an entire design experience – that is Fritz Hansen’s metier.

Christianshavn will be available in stores from March 2018.
